Making hearing health a national conversation.
For seven years Bannerton was the PR agency for Hidden Hearing in Ireland. We gave a hearing care brand a place in the national conversation, through people's stories, original research and campaigns built to travel.

The challenge
The subject people put off talking about.
People often wait years before they have their hearing checked, and a health brand talking about its own services rarely makes the news. Hidden Hearing needed a reason for editors and audiences to care about hearing, without it ever feeling like an advertisement.
What we did
Lead with people, back it with research.
We ran the Hidden Hearing Heroes Awards, honouring everyday heroes from communities across Ireland, and gave every winner a local story. We turned Hidden Hearing's research on hearing and dementia into news, ran the Campaign for Better Hearing and seasonal campaigns from the National Ploughing Championships to free ear checks, and rolled survey results out across Europe with the message reshaped for each market.
Hearing loss was the story nobody wanted to tell. Everyday heroes made it the story everyone shared.
