Plenty of Irish companies get the UAE set-up right and the profile wrong. They arrive with a licence, an office and a good product, and nobody in the local media has heard of them. Doors open slowly.
Bannerton works on the ground in both markets, from Dublin and from Dubai, with the same senior adviser leading your account in each. Sharon Bannerton set up the firm in Ireland in 2010 and now lives in Dubai. She knows what an Irish editor wants, and what a Gulf editor will not run. She has written about it in Your Irish story will not land in Dubai on its own.
Going east
- Positioning for the UAE and the wider Gulf
- Launch media relations in UAE business and trade titles
- Leadership profile and LinkedIn built for a Gulf audience
- Local media knowledge: who covers what, and how they like to be approached
Coming west
Gulf companies setting up a European base in Ireland face the same problem in reverse. We introduce you to Irish business media properly, with a story that earns its place. See our work as a PR agency in Dublin.
How we work
One market first, then the next. Or both together, if that suits your plans. Each market is planned and priced on its own.
Proof
For Enterprise Ireland at GITEX Global 2024, we built the UAE story around two Irish women founders, then took the delegation home to Irish readers through a Sunday Times business spread.
Pat Breen of Gas Strategies writes for The National. Heroiks, a French group, opened its Dubai office with a launch we timed to its president's arrival. Other clients we have worked with across markets include Xtremepush, Riyadh Monopoly and COLE'D.
Questions we are often asked
Do you have people on the ground in both countries?
Yes. Bannerton has offices in Dublin and Dubai, and Sharon lives in Dubai and works between the two.
Which media matter in the UAE?
For business stories, the business desks of The National, Gulf News, Khaleej Times and Arabian Business, alongside the trade titles and Dubai Eye 103.8. We will tell you honestly which of them your story suits, and which it does not.
Will an Irish press release work in the UAE?
Rarely as it stands. Gulf editors want a local angle, a spokesperson in the market and access to the founder. The Heroiks launch was held until its president was in Dubai for exactly that reason.
How is it priced?
Each market is planned and priced on its own, so you can start with one and add the other when you are ready.
