The UAE rewards companies that are known. Regulators, investors, partners and the media form a view of you long before a meeting is ever booked. Bannerton shapes that view.
We are an independent, founder-led communications consultancy with offices in Dubai and Dublin. Sharon Bannerton set up the firm in 2010 and leads every account herself, so the person who wins your trust is the person doing the work.
What we do
- Corporate and leadership positioning
- Media relations across the UAE, the Gulf and international titles
- Thought leadership and opinion pieces placed under your name
- Market entry communications for companies arriving in the UAE
- Issues and crisis readiness, so the difficult day is planned for
Work that travels
In energy, we made Pat Breen of Gas Strategies the steady voice on LNG as the Strait of Hormuz crisis shook the market. In 2026 that meant three live BBC Business Today interviews in nine weeks, and opinion pieces under his own name in The National.
In Abu Dhabi, we led launch communications in English and Arabic for LAMMAH AL BAHR, a new festival on the Al Dhafra coast. In Dubai, we repositioned Uptown Dubai for DMCC from a single tower to a district. Both were delivered with Seven Media.
When the French group Heroiks opened in Dubai, we held the Heroiks MENA launch until its president was on the ground, and took it to Campaign Middle East, Communicate and the Reuters newsfeed through Zawya. And for Croud, when its new EMEA chief executive flew in for her first week in the region, we had her on Emirates News, live in studio on Dubai Eye 103.8 and in Communicate Online within five days. Initials Middle East went live on The Agenda on Dubai Eye 103.8 with a Black Friday story on how shoppers really behave in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Further afield, Riyadh Monopoly launched in English and Arabic and made the front page of Arab News.
Why Bannerton
Sharon Bannerton was named in the PRWeek Middle East Power Book 2025. She holds the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction with Distinction, so she reads a situation the way your board does, and advises at that level.
Staying quiet used to be the safe option in the Gulf. Sharon's piece The price of being unknown just went up sets out why that is no longer true.
Questions we are often asked
Do you buy coverage or sponsored content?
No. Everything we report as coverage is earned editorial, meaning a journalist or producer chose to run it. Paid placement is common in the region, and readers can tell.
Do you work in Arabic?
Yes. Our launches in the region have gone out in English and Arabic, including LAMMAH AL BAHR in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh Monopoly in Riyadh.
Who will actually do the work?
Sharon. She leads every account personally and brings in specialist support when a project needs it, but she is the one you speak to and the one the media hear from.
Do you work with free zone companies?
Yes. Bannerton's own UAE company is registered in the Meydan Free Zone, and our work includes Uptown Dubai for DMCC.
How quickly will we see results?
The first month goes on the groundwork: your messages, your spokespeople and the first stories. Coverage follows when the story is right, and no honest adviser will guarantee you headlines. When the window is short, the groundwork happens before you land. Croud's chief executive was on air within days of arriving in Dubai.
